Suggested Supplements by Trimester

Ideally, you should get nutrition from food. But, some nutrients are challenging to get through food alone. Below are some supplements that may be helpful. You do not need to buy all of them at once. Instead, I have grouped them by trimester so you can buy what you need when you need it.

IMPORTANT: This link is educational only. Please discuss these with me before taking them to ensure you take what you need.

First Trimester (0-13 weeks)

  • Prenatal Vitamin If you cannot eat the “whole rainbow of colors” every day, you may want to add in a  good prenatal. Thorne (my favorite), Mama Bird, Seeking Health, SmartyPants (if you are unable to swallow pills)

  • Methylfolate - 400-800 mcg daily if it’s not in your prenatal ThorneSeeking Health
